Just picked up a Craftsman router at Sears. Model #28190, 2 1/4 hp. It was on the clearance rack for $26.93. regular price $139. It was their floor model. Good deal, but it didn't come with the detachable power cord. I searched the Sears parts website, they wont have the power cord in stock until June 1st. Does anyone know of a website that sells Craftsman parts other than searspartsdirect.com? Thanks!

You might try looking at the Goodwill or other thrift store. I found a cord for my CD player and also a vacuum. They always seem to have a few boxes of loose cords. If there is a tool repair you could also take your tool there and see if they might have a cord that fits it. Good luck

What does the connector look like on the router itself? It may be compatible with a longer or shorter cord for a different piece of equipment.

Yep, only so many connectors out there, and Sears likely did not invent their own unique one. Try Googling power cords, I've found all kinds of power cables available. I did this about one year ago at work, so I do not recall the website I went to, but found what we needed at work.

Update: Well ... maybe Sears did invent their own. I looked at the router information, and that is one odd connector. You may just want to buy two if you find them! Good luck, and if all else fails, I hope Sears partsdirect comes thru for you.

Greetings
I helped develop that generation of Craftsman routers. The Craftsman Pro cord is has a special connector so you won't find it at a store selling parts. Did you try eBay or Craigslist?
