About 1 1/2 to 2 years ago there was a large stabilized pen blank buy. Whoever ran the buy posted a pic of the company's color chart. The chart had the company's name on it. I contacted them about stabilizing some larger blocks of wood and need to get in touch with them again, however, their info fell casualty to the move from Colorado, so once again I am trying to track them down.

I would greatly appreciate it if anyone remembers who ran the buy or who the company was.

Thanks
Jeremy

Jeremy,

If you cannot find the name, Constant here on the site has gotten very good reviews on his stabilized blanks. Larger sizes obviously would be up to you and him.

Used them exclusively before Constant started offering the service, now I try to use members here first as long as quality is equal, and it is in the case, having used both.

I have used Steve for a long time and the quality is very good. Steve is also very nice to work with.
I started doing stabilizing myself because of the qty's I am using. The equipment I have purchased came from a person in California who was in the stabilizing business for 15+ years. ( Native Woods- Paul Meuller)
The max size I can fit in the pressure vessels is 7.5" x 30" and 6.5" x 32"

Full penetration is not a problem on these blocks and it will happen in about a hour.
Very dense woods takes much longer. I would apply up to 3000 - 5000 psi .

Hope this info help.
