Before I ask, let me apologise out of fear that this answer/help may already be in the Library section, although I looked quite closely.

I am returning to turning after a pretty much 2 year hiatus. I still have most of my stock, but want to go off into a rather different direction.

I've looked at Richard Greenwald's site and indeed have purchased a few items a few months back. I intend to buy some of his pen/pencil mechanisms and components.

I'll will be turning other parts and metal barrels & threading as needed on small HF metal lathe.

The question(finally): are there directions that will help me in putting the various parts in their proper place--meaning diameters, lengths,(of components)?

Or would it be just as simple to use a pen or pencil kit and building from that?

I know this sounds like a novice question, and there's a good reason for that.
Cheers, Russ

You should check out the 'Advanced Pen Making' section of the forums. There is much discussion about just this type of thing and those guys would certainly be able to answer your questions.

I'm sorry, I just went to the Library and couldn't find anything. Never thought about A. Penturning section. I just figured(assumed) everything was there. thanks for setting me straight.
