Found these two J10s locally, going to go take a look this weekend. What do you think? What do you think fair prices are given what you can see in the pics.

I'm partial to the 78 since it has the brow over the windshield.


they are UNMOLESTED, very good baseline projects.
78 - 360 - auto - 4x4 - quadatrac.

81- 258 (tired, likely need to be rebuilt) - 4x4

I can't talk price, but my biggest concern with the '78 would be the rust along the bottom of the bed. If it is rusting out, there may be considerable damage at the bottom of the cab and that can be very costly if you don't weld, or know someone who does.

I'll be checking for more rust when I go look. The beds on these are notorious for rust as it was a bad design. The bed floor is welded to the walls (single thinkness) and the junction allows water to sit there and rust rust rust. So this could be all the rust there is, but only a good inspection will tell for sure.
