Yesterday, I was getting ready to turn a piece to round, using the 60 degree live center in the quill and a spur drive in the headstock. The point in the spur drive just rattled back and forth. I took it out and the spring was missing. Where it is a mystery as I don't recall removing it in the past. Well, I have a time remembering what I had for breakfast. I keep a plastic shoe box with odds & ends from pen kits, etc. A spring from a cheap pen worked perfectly. Pays to save things. Never know when they will be needed.
