Been off from pen making for various reasons for the past several months. However, I did get a 3D printer for my workshop. It's a relatively simple printer from a brand named 'Bambu lab', model 'A1'. 3D printing is easy on my time: you just let it run for several days unattended, then paint the finished model. Although this requires some practice, the painting process itself doesn't take too long.
This is supposed to be a model of Israel's navy Dolphin class submarine. Printed from gray PLA, primer applied and then hand painted with acrylic paints.
Printer settings are: 0.2mm nozzle, 0.06mm layer height. The model measures about 250mm long and 80mm wide, not in any specific scale. The total printing process took about 60 hours.
In the future, I may use this 3D printer to print some small jigs and fixtures for my pen making hobby.
Best regards,
Amihai.
