Nascar returns to dirt for the first time in 40 years. I scored my tickets on Saturday morning and they were selling so fast that the lady I was ordering from said that is available ....nope they are gone 4 times before I finally got to get good seats..... can't wait....

Isn't it the trucks that are going on dirt. When I was younger we used to get NASCAR on the 1 mile dirt track on the last Sunday of the California State Fair. The Early in October we would have the Indy guy on the dirt. Couldn't always have money for Tickets so we would get into the bushes outside the first turn and dodge dirt clods. It was scary watch them come down the front straight and slide through the turns. Can't remember if we had the big names from NASCAR or just West Coast guy but the Indy guys were the big names of the era, this was in the 50's and early 60's

I had heard it mentioned that some wanted nascar to add a dirt race to the schedule last season. Didn't hear anymore about it. Till now. I'll sure be watching it though.

I know they talking about dirt last season.

I don't know myself I don't like dirt. I like the high speed bumping and banging that pavement gives. I'm just not into (as much) the slip & slide of dirt.

I think a dirt track would be just a little more fun to watch then a road course.

We'll see trucks maybe but I think that's as far as it will go.

Oh Cup cars are practicing today at 1:00-5:00 on SPEED at Daytona.

I think if they want to claim they are the BEST drivers, they should prove it on all racing surfaces. I also think that if it rains, toss on different tires and see which driver can control the machines the best. Go too fast and wreck, too bad. I'm sure I will take some heat for this view but so be it.
