This was the hardest wood I have ever tried to turn...I dulled two carbide inserts during the process...i got frustrated & just quit trying to turn it & decided to put some finish on it...:rotfl:
It is about 4" x 8" and is whomperjawed with a hole in it...

Then it's fasm wood.
fog wood = found on ground wood
fig wood = found in garage wood
fis wood = found in shop wood
fasm wood = found at saw mill wood :eek::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

I really have no idea what the wood is. Doesn't look like any iron wood I have. All mine is chocolate looking with maybe a little yellow looking sap wood.

Well, like "The Penguin" mentioned above it is really more catywompus!
Just a term my dear ol' mother uses when she is talking about something that is all all of kilter or crooked or warped....lol
