Lets turn the question around and ask what do you think of your pens???
You have seen many other pen turners showing off their pens here, how do you compare yourself to them??? Do you want to stand out from them or are you trying to duplicate what they do??? You are the only one who can answer the question. What we think is irrelevent. Shapes and profiles are in the eyes of the beholders. Finishes can not be seen with photos so do not bother to ask about that. I laugh when people do these Macro photos and think we all can see fit and finish because we have this huge picture to look at. Get real. Only if you have pen in hand can one give a fair assessment on fit and finish of anyones pens.
We as pen turners look for that WOW factor and if you are producing that in your mind then you are doing fine. By now you should be refining your techniques and should be seeing differences. How do you like what you see???

Hey Luke, I've got an idea.
We have a group of penturners (Alamo Penturners) that get together the 1st Thur of the month at 6:30pm at WoodCraft on San Pedro. A good bunch of guys that love to turn pens and enjoy looking at the pens others turn. We try to have a demo at each meeting so we can learn tips and techniques from each other.
Grab a bunch of your pens and come visit us this Thur nite (4/4). We'd like to meet you and see your work. Meeting lasts about 1 1/2 hours and is fun.
I think I remember one of your past posts that you live near the airport - that isn't too far from Woodcraft.
Look forward to seeing you there.

John makes some very good points here in his post. I like what I see on your site very nice indeed but in the end you have to really like what you are making. Are you having fun making your pens? Do you enjoy the hobby? I think from what I see you must. It's not about emulating someone else it is about creating what you want to create. Keep up the great work.
