:smile:Hey all, you can now follow this project on my blog here. Since I can't edit the original post anymore in the classifieds, I had to come up with a new way to update the info and keep it current. I also will be adding updated photos as I finish each pen. I am still working on the web pages to add this to my website. Thank you so much for each of you that have contributed to this project. Let me know if you have any questions or comments.

Rob, I did get a piece of cottonwood from KS, problem lies where I forgot to pack it for the ride home. My Dad is coming to visit soon, I'll have it off to you as soon as he gets it here.

Rob,

I'd love to get you some WI sugar maple, and I have my eyes out... At the moment the only way I have to guarantee its from Wisconsin is to cut a branch off the one in my yard! But I do have my eyes open for some.

Don't cut your tree down. I have Sugar Maple also known as Rock Maple that has been harvested and kiln dried from the Phillips area. I've already been in touch with Rob and hope to get it in the mail by the end of the week.

I have the word out for a piece of Sabal Palm. I really hate to cut down a tree just for one blank. I havent found anything on my property that was small enough that it wouldnt waste a large tree. Not that I consider a palm tree anything other than a large fern. However I havent forgot you.

LOL.... Wasn't gonna cut it down!!! I'm glad one of us has him covered for WI.. I'll stop looking :)

Thanks guys!

I will say that Flowering Dogwood is now my most favorite wood to turn. Both of the states I turned, turned like butter and almost didn't need sandpaper before finish. I am going to hunt for more of this wood to make a bowl out of.
