This is the saw that "LEAP" here helped me get by buying my mountian bike from me.. Plans are to pick it up this weekend and bring it home. Those who know me can get an idea of what it will look like when I am done, those who don't... well they need to take a peek at my website. ;)

The saw is a 1950's 16" Walker-Turner and is cast iron from head to toe! :D She weighs in close to half a ton of pure American arn..

Liked your old tools...especially the 50s table saw....it`s just like mine....I`ve also have an early 70s scroll saw by Power Matic. good luck with the band saw use it often........... Perry

Bob, I hope to be able to luck out and my BIL can borrow a box truck with a lift gate. If not, we have to hand winch it up onto his trailer or take it apart to move.

And Pete, how about a saw that this blade fits onto?? [:0]

I Think I have the same Bandsaw does yours have the tilting feature underneath the table too, I downloaded the parts list /manual give me a shout if you want to look at it, and I'll see if I can find it in my mess [:)] ~ Joe Pozzi
 
Well, the saw is home.. After some more research I found the weight to really be closer ot 600-700lbs (even though someone said they weighed a trailer before & after, there is no way it's even close to 1000) Given that, and the fact my BIL had to bail out this weekend (and because it was in the mid 70's) I took my trusty CJ-7 with the top off and picked up the saw with that. We took it all apart and it was strapped & padded in tightly. I forgot to grab a photo of it all packed in there, but if rode home just fine. The saw has a new motor & steel pulleys on the saw & motor and just needs a refurb and blade thrust bearings (worst case, $40 new) First step is to weld up a mobile stand and get the saw fully working then I can tear it apart and start the refurb. Right now I am leaning towards a dark blue..

Joe, if you could dig up that manual, that would be great!

Here is a photo all home and showing the ultra cool old school lamp. I am not sure if it's original or not, but it's all metal and is getting refurbed and will stay on the saw.

Its a parts manual with pictures (they sent me copies) with parts numbers crossed out that are no longer available (most if not all) but it's what Porter cable /Delta sent me @ 3 yrs ago. Since they bought the Walker Turner rights this was the only thing I could find. I scanned it into my computer if you want it PM me to where I can send it ~ Joe
