My Mom

Just wanted to let my friends here on IAP know that my mom, Joy Elliott, died Sunday. She died peacefully in her sleep. She was 86 years old and had lived with my wife and me since November of 2008. She was a joy, and we will miss her.

May her soul and the souls of all the departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Chip, like so many others here, I too offer my condolences for your loss. I gave up my mother a few years ago at age 81. Even though I miss her very much, I know she is much happier now being pain-free than she was here in suffering. I hope my attachment helps.

Chip, as others have stated, our prayers are with you and your family. I can think of no better way to make the passage than surrounded by my loved ones that gave of their own life and love for all these years, peacefully in my sleep. You and your bride did very good. Way too many just drop off their parents for others to care for. We are proud of you.
