Well here's what consumed my weekend, SWMBO decided that the dead bushes had to go in front of our place, and wanted rose bushes; so she talked to the Gardner into pulling the bushes out, and we (meaning me) would plant the rose bushes.
Here is what it looked like when I started on Saturday, the planters are 20' by 5' on both sides.
Then SWMBO Decided that she wanted it to be split level and, thought this would work,
I had to explain that the first good rain would wash that all out, so down to lowes we went for edging....
This is the walk way after I (I mean we
) planted the tree roses.

This shows the left side after clean up.
We had to do both sides because we own both units, (we live in one and rent the other out).
You wouldn't belive the amount of dirt I had to get rid of on just those two areas, we also added some fertilizer mix in to richen it up.
The rose bushes didn't arrive until yesterday afternoon, so I still have to plant 8 rose bushes, on the top area, and she still hasn't decided what she wants to plant on the bottom section......
then I have to spread the mulch.
My body hurts from top to bottom, the bad thing is i was so sore I almost dropped my beer more then once...
