hi guys i had to take my little buddy to the emerency vets last night got home around midnight. i was told that the problem was a bad tooth that was causing a swollen place on his face. they gave him meds for the problem and told me to follow up with my reg vet to get the tooth pulled. he is a 12 year old mini-dashhound. i will be calling in the next few weeks to get this done i hope he is not in to much pain when it gets done he is my very best friend and dont want him to be in pain. has anyone had to have this done so i can know what to expect. i have had dogs that had to have surgery before but never had to have a toth pulled.
thanks for listening

My sister's dog had 2 teeth pulled that were cracked from chewing on one of those nylon looking dog bones. The dog's breath smelled like she had eat every dead thing she could find. They put her to sleep and removed the teeth with no after effects at all and she has done great for the last 7 years.
Good luck

OK I normally stay out of personal things here but this one really did it, Calling in the next few weeks WHAT call NOW The poor guy is suffering call your vet today!!
Sorry I'm a huge dog lover I do what ever it takes to keep my dogs happy and healthy even taking out a home equity Loan. Again sorry about yelling.

i caled today and they said to wait till i have given him all the meds which will end on the 22 and yes i would do anything for him he is like a child to me and i know childern who are as spoiled as he is.

My family had a dog that adopted us. He just showed up at our doorstep and wouldn't leave. After a few weeks he got really mean and didn't want anything to do with anyone so we took him to the vet. Seems he had several bad teeth so we had everything fixed to the tune of several hundred $$$. As soon as we got him home we let him out to do what he needed to do and he ran off yelling "Mom Dad I'm home I got my teeth fixed" and was never seen again.

lol i just got a call from the vet with a price to get the work done and it was around 200.00 so a smal price to pay to keep my buddy heathly they told me to give them a call around the end of the month to set it up so i am going to set it up for the 31 they said that date was good it gives the med time to get everything cleared up for the surgery.

We adopted a lovely dog and she had to have 8 teeth removed. It was really expensive, but she has been in great shape every since and she eats everything, including Dog bone biscuits.

Shees I wish our vet was that cheap, 3 Months ago it was $350.00 for 3 teeth to be removed!!!!!
Hope he's feeling better soon.

i got the the cost for the toth that needs to be removed it wil cost 225.00 for the removal and get his teeth cleaned. the place on the side of his face that was swollen has gone down awhole lot cant even tell that it was swollen to begin with . the meds sure are good ones s=he acts like he is 6months old again. i could kick my self in the a$$ for not seeing it sooner. but i call the 27 to get the app for it to be removed wanted to get it done earlier but the vet told me to wait till he has finshed his meds first.

I took one of my cats to the vet last year with a urinary problem. That bill was around $700 and now he needs prescription food. Pets can be expensive but their worth every bit of it.
