I tried to post my lathe here in this forum, but it was deleted because "All advertising belongs in the classifieds."

Or, you could click on the forums tab at the top, go over to the individual classified headding, click on that and post your lathe there. Just a thought.
 
It is posted there, but I thought since it is an unshippable item for sale in the NE area, it might make sense to advertise it in the NE forum.

My bad.
 
The classifieds area is for all sale items. The local chapter areas are for chapter and local discussion use. We can't have each chapter area turning into a mini forum. You can post the item that is for sale in the classifieds area and then start a thread pointing to the item that is listed if you want.
 
I mentioned this thread at a Wisconsin meeting and Paladin (Marc) said, "Just post it in the classifieds with a mention of where it is".

Marc had just posted several classifieds with the heading like., "VS Lathe-Milwaukee"--sold everything he posted this way. (I bought the lathe!!)

A "positive' alternative to posting in the chapter area.
