Here is a pair of bowls I just finished turning. The first one is a natural edge cherry bowl measuring 7 inch by 4.5 inch. The second is a Honey Locus Bowl measuring 8.5 inch by 3.5 inch. Both are finished with wipe on poly. Comments are always welcome.

Great work.... How thin did you venture into the NE bowl? I tell you, when you hit 1/8" it gets down right intense. Excellent work!!
 
Louis those look great. I love the shape of the cherry bowl. I also like the rim on the honey locust bowl. I'm reading a book on bowl design by Richard Raffan and I can see many of the good elements he talks about in your bowls. I'd highly recommend his book, you can check it out here.

Here's where it gets REALLY intense!
Local woodworker makes lamp shades on a lathe. You can drive down the
street and spot the houses that have his work, as the color is recognizable
through the windows.

Someday I'll try this.
