I can completely relate. There's a picture of some of my gaming supplies.

15 years. However, it has slowed down quite a bit. There is only one company making fire models now.

I was involved in the design of a number of the smaller models you see here. I've moved on to pens. As Dave Berry wrote, "There is a very fine line between 'hobby' and 'mental illness.'"

Fireengines... quite the collection. Any reason why Fire and Police in particular?

Drstragefart... are those all gaming cards?

I used to collect all things "Buffy" (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), still have a room full.
Then I started collecting Matchbox cars, have about 500 in just 1 year of collecting.
My new hobby is... (drum roll) PENS.

Yes, sir. They're gaming cards. That wasn't even the whole collection. And it didn't get into the mack daddy old-school video game collection.

That is a very cool collection, although I am partial to the Aircrane you have shown, maybe because I am a designer for them!

My collection is not as glamorous...

All,

I have been collecting keychains for years. Have many clean 1 gallon paint cans full.

Rule 1. I never buy a keychain, regardless of how unique or whatever it
may be.

Perhaps one day in retirement I can build a display case. Not now, we plan on moving.

Have an Ahrens Fox?

Larry,

Way back when I was a firefighter in a first class volunteer company.
We had a former chief and state fire commissioner who personally owned a 1929 Ahrens Fox. There is definitely something well to be said about those positive displacement pumps.

She was quite a sight going down the road, with that big sphere shining.

Our old engine #1 (retired), was quite good looking a 1948 Mack.

One year at an air show in Madera, CA they had a demo flight with a sky crane. They had been making announcements all day about a bus blocking a fire lane. Then the crane flew out with an old school bus dangling below it. He few around a bit then dropped the bus from about 500 ft up. That crazy bus landed on it's wheels. We went out after the air show to check out the bus. The entire bus was less than 6 ft tall.
