I have been turning pens since November 2012 and I have been eyeballing this pen kit and decided to break down and try it out. The wood is stabilized maple burl.

Now that's one sexy pen right there! I've been eyeing that pen for awhile as well, but haven't pulled the trigger. That's classy. Wouldn't think it would take long to sell.

Very nice looking.

Although the small nib/section feels small in my hands, the Scepter is one of my favorites from an appearance standpoint. Reminds me, I've got a few in stock waiting to be made...

Very sharp looking pen. I love that wood you used on it. I made my first one in December using Horse Chestnut. I'm ready to order a few more of them.

Thanks everyone for the kind words!

Levi, I assume you mean the background? I just used a black granite tile.

That's the same thing I did. Picked up a section of flooring tile at lowes for cheap. Allthough I have my light tent now and I'm not sure if I'll still use it or not.
