My First Laser Inlay

This is my first ever attempt. Maple and Grandillo. It turned out pretty nice. I have a few issues to work out but all in all I'm happy with it.

Kenny my rotary attachment can do either one but I have only used the chuck.

KenB259 that looks great. I had thought about trying that a while back. I had asked someone who is supposed to be a laser expert and he said it could not be done. So I let it slide. Did you rough turn and pre-drill for the tube before using the chuck rotary and the laser?

Yes, I turned it to .75 diameter, drilled it at .375 and inserted a tube. Mounted an old mandrel in the rotary chuck and cut it.
