This is Ovangkol wood on a Sedona dressed in Black Titanium hardware and finished in six light coats of Qualalacq lacquer. This wood was difficult to finish. I ended up having to seal it with shellac before the lacquer would harden properly. This piece in particular was that much more challenging due to the voids and worm holes. Took a while, but I got it done and I'm very pleased with the result. The pics don't do the depth of the finish justice. Admittedly it feels more like glass than wood, but it's a serious looker.
Thanks for looking.
