My first Abalone pen

This my first attempt at an abalone blank. Abalone casted in Aluminite. Wrong color Aluminite.

My next one turned out better. I realize that a light box would be useful here. Paua Abalone on a Triton kit.

I had to check the date.........thought it was an April 1st photo. Hope you have better luck next time I thought only I did stuff like that:tongue:

Yeah, I had a box of Amazing Casting Resin in the cupboard. No where on the box did it say that it turns white. Guess I won't do that again.

Nice Pen, Pen-Archer.
What I can see of it, the reflection of the lighting has made it near impossible.
The cap looks good.
