MY CHRISTMAS GOTTA !!

My last art show of the year was very expensive to me. so let me tell you the rest of the story.

A customer was talking to another wood turner and asked if she be interested in a metal lathe. She said no. I overheard the conversation and I said Yes!

So we talked and I picked up a South Bend lathe Model A made in 1946. the cost two fountain pens. The lathe was the customer's father. and needed to get rid of it. Came with a assorted other lathe parts 2- 3 jaw chucks 1- 4 jaw chuck. 2 cutting heads. and etc.

want to thanks Greg Ketell and Larry Dubia both on IAP for helping to move this machine. Now I really have a tight shop.

It rained moving the lathe and it got wet. There was no problem because the lath was so greasy the rain was no problem. Spend 3 days cleaning the lathe up

WEll the lathe was not totally free Christmas gift Yes the two pens… But I needed to purchase several parts for it to run smoothy. well 300 dollars more. But what a Christmas gotta!!

Next year Kit-less pens…. for sure!
