I had a 4 hour trip to the vet on Christmas day! Our Dachshund attacked our Shitzu over their Christmas present (rawhide bones) The Shitzu suffer an injured eye before we could separate them. The vet said he will not lose his sight but his eyelids are stiched shut and he must wear one of those plastic hoods for 2 weeks. The Dachie is current under house arrest (cage)! Both dogs are rescues we have had for several years without any problems.

We had a husky attack my wife's chi. broke his back and paralized it from the neck down. After the vet visit, Dr said the best thing to do for him was to put him down and he offered to take care of it for her. Her bill was $1,900. I told her she paid for another one of his many vacations.

Sorry to hear about that. Pets are great, but more than one does carry that implied risk. I spent the weekend keeping our new Chowbrador puppy from fighting with a Jack Russell. The Chowbrador already outweighs the Jack Russell and he's only 11 weeks old. Full time job.

I have two dogs. The smaller one likes to be in charge and the bigger one doesn't care, so they seem to have it all worked out.

About the comments on a Jack Russell. I have been to a dog park where all the dogs were 50 pounds and up except for a lone jack russell who ran the whole operation. It was pretty funny, they are 100 pounds of dynamite in a 10 pound package!!

I'd be looking for another vet.

I have a Jack Russell Terrier.

They do think they are big dogs and bad asses at that.

He is going on over 10 years old now and still going strong.
