Here are a few of my recent castings/turnings. I hope you enjoy them. Alumilite, cherry burl and aluminum honeycomb. All are 4 color pours.

Really really. I have 4 different types of purple pigments. It really adds depth and variation.
See colors below.

Those are amazing!!
What do you do to finish the ones with the honey comb ?

Thank you for the question.

I soaked the honey comb in Acetone for 30min in a class bottle and swished it around, to remove any crap, let it dry, then cast in alumilite.

Turned it round on the metal lathe using lathe dogs (https://littlemachineshop.com/products/product_view.php?ProductID=4474&category=) to about 20mm, then drilled, to ensure it was true, drilled with center drill, then pilot hole with 7mm, followed by 5/16, 3/8, 10mm, 10.5, 11mm and 12mm. Did not want it to fly apart.
Used sanding disk jig (from rick https://www.penturners.org/threads/custom-made-penturning-tools-accessories.92501/) so that the ends did not fly apart.

Turned with round carbide cutters (https://www.ncwoodturningtools.com/) to about 1/16th of final shape on the JET 1221VS at 3600 RPM
Stopped every so often and coated with CA
Used 320 sandpaper to shape, to prevent chipout
Then 400, 600, 1000, 1200, 1400, polished with buffer red and white, then meguiars plastx
