This isn't the best plating for these woods and they don't really go so well together, but both of those were selected by my customer. I traded these for a 13' long piece of 5/4 bubinga, for my tables. It's gorgeous bubinga, though it isn't curly or anything. The original plan was a segmented bamboo, with blackwood accents, but I kept blowing out the bamboo. I kept forgetting to burn "downhill". I may try it again when I'm used to turning again. It's been quite a while for me.
Red Palm (coconut) cigar:
Beeswing Eucalyptus Cigar Pencil (lousy pic):
I must have worn down the tube interiors, because they both have to be glued in. I've only had to glue one other pen before and it too was a cigar. I love the look of the red palm. It's tough to turn, but the results are a really sweet looking pattern.
Thanks for looking.
