These are the first 10 pens i have made. So far i have just used materials i have found at the ranch, deer horn, cow horn, mesquite, and guayacan.

They're a little hard to see, but from what I can tell they all look great! And starting with a herringbone! I barely can even say I've segmented something. Good Job!
 
Great job. I haven't turned a herringbone yet. I do have a 360 herringbone blank that I have ready to go. Just need to turn it and see how it comes out!

Pens seasoned experienced pen turners dream of. The variety on your ranch must be extraordinary, the herringbone exciting without having contrasting timbers a great way to go. You are headed for the stars with your choices and execution of the timbers and pens.
