I have a little spinet piano, and the humidity has made the keyboard cover swell and bind. (I managed to break off one of the little knobs, so I am turning a new pair. )
Meanwhile, I can't close up the piano, and my cat has decided that she is a musician. She stands on the bench and presses the keys with her paws, then gets up and walks up and down the keyboard, trying to figure out where the sound is coming from. I figured she would get bored with it pretty quick, but it has been about three weeks now, and she "plays" the piano five or six times a day, (and sometimes in the middle of the night.)
She seems to prefer the lower octaves to the upper notes, and always looks surprised when she sits down and plays a chord.
Life with cats. The dog seems to be a fan. Every time she "plays" he goes over and watches her, cocking his head to the side like he is doing a music critique.
