I've caught myself adding a couple of coats of lacquer to a perfectly good ca/blo finish lately -- just in case. I'm still new to ca/blo and don't quite trust it yet. But made me wonder, how many folks around here do one finish on top of another? I've seen posts for example about putting a friction polish on top of CA. Fred Munday's very good tutorial on his ca/blo ends with adding a coat or two or lacquer.
Anybody ever use polyurethane? Seems to me the polyurethane they use for floors would be pretty darned durable. If that's a hopelessly naive question, be gentle.
