Okay, so I made a 45 deg sled for my bandsaw yesterday and I had to try it out. This is a standard cigar pen with bloodwood and yellowheart, hand sanded to 800 then EEE waxed. Finished with BLO/CA and then topped with HUT satin then high gloss wax. Thanks for looking.

Nice job on the multiwood.. they are fun to do...
I Set up my power mitre saw for them... build a jig that allows me to use it and still keep my finger tips... LOL

Love the barber pole effect!
If the center ring is loose take it out and turn the top of the pen.
I sold two Corians with no center ring, I put the diagonal piece in the middle similar to yours.
I call it my lava lamp in my pocket.
