Mulberry Rustic Vase

This wood works nice when it is green. I've never turned it before. I'll be getting more of this over the spring and summer. I'll actually try to dry them out and make some bowl blanks. This piece was straight from a green log. They call them Rustic Vases? Suppose to put dry flowers or artificial flowers in them. This should crack a bit as it dries... part of the charm of a 'Rustic Vase.'

Like the bark/sapwood/heartwood . Hope it holds the bark as it dries . May develop a bit of a lean . Show us again in 6 months .
