What if anything is in the end of it, i.e. does it have a 1/4" threaded hole, some other size hole, or is it blank?

It has a threaded hole in the big end to accept the usual A and B mandrels both of which have the same thread, which I think is 1/4"

- Both of the precision shafts ("A" and "B") are interchangeable with this Morse Taper.

I believe the A and B shafts are used with various Berea Hard Woods Kits. You could see more about that on their web site.

Not sure on what you are wanting this for, but I suggest you look on Google for "MT2 threaded arbor" and "2MT end mill holder".

Either has possibilities to be used for creating your own specialized tooling. I use the 2MT threaded arbors for making TBC drivers and live center ends. I once needed an odd shaped live center, the same was adapted with a handful of bearings.
