Hello!

I'm new to this group and recently just bought a used Craftsman 12" lathe from Craigslist and it came with all the necessary turning tools, but had no live tailstock or mandrel. The model is 113.228162 and I'm wondering if anyone else has any past experience with this model and if it uses the size 1 or 2 collets? It came with a spindle collet but I don't have anything to compare it with or know how to measure it to determine size. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hay Jon,

The spur drive you need is a MT 1 according to the sears direct parts web sight. If you'd like, I have a set of spur drive and a live center from my old set up that doesn't work any more. Burnt the board out and a new board cost more than the lathe is worth. There yours if you want them.
