I don't know how widespread this is but I am getting hammed with IMs that contain a link and if you open it (I'm smarter than that), you get some kind of virus and then you start sending it to all your buddies. Just a notice to be careful what you click in IMs. My rule of thumb, if I get a link or attachment from someone I know and I didn't expect it, I contact that person first to make sure they intended to send it.
