More "overlay" - VW Bus

Continuing my experiments in aluminum carving, this is a gift for a great VW "guru" who recently wrecked his bus with over 500k miles on it.

It's surprisingly not top heavy. Though the thicker base of the aluminum helps with that I think.

Does the wide, carved portion of aluminum have something to do with the VW??

Cool idea. I think it would look better if you made the ends of the aluminum match the thickness of the rest of the pen and then have the blank match those. Almost as if the ends were the bushings when turning. Make sense?

I think you have a great idea here and should work on perfecting it . You never know ....
