I just scored a gi-normous piece of cherry wood. This slab is about 8" thick and about 32" across. It is a lengthwise slab from a much larger piece of log.
The saw horses are 48" long.
I wonder how big a platter I can make from this???
Sealed and resting comfortably now...

I can do outboard turning up to about 24" but this one may be too much. I have a Onway Stronghold chuck on order, so I'm slowly getting into the larger pieces.
