Modified Pen Contest

I'm thinking of using the cigar pen for the modified contest. One would have to use the nib, and transmission from the kit. This is a contest I haven't paid much attention to. Does this sound reasonable or am I going down the wrong track?

I believe that in years past the pen to be modified was limited to "Ball Point" If you want to further specify a specific type of ball point, such as a Cigar kit, it is fine with me.

We'll stay with just a ballpoint so more people have a chance to play.

The last two years I ran it as ballpoint only. Caps were allowed as long as the base kit was a ballpoint. But you can set the rules as you wish.

MODIFIED PEN CONTEST

You're a good pen maker, but you want to know what's next. This is the contest where you take a pen kit and add, subtract and modify and the end result is something that makes you smile.

The Rules

Do NOT post a picture of your entry in this thread. There will be an entry form.
The kit used MUST be a ballpoint.
You must use the refill, nib, and at least one other piece from the kit.
There must be left over pieces from the original kit

The Guidelines

You can use pieces from another kit.
This is a contest for modifying a kit. Not just adding an additional piece from a different kit.
It's OK to make a capped pen as long as it's a ballpoint.
It's OK to make a metal piece or 2 for your pen.
This is a good contest to use up those kits that have missing pieces.

Deadline

All entries must be received by end of day Monday the 17th.
There will be 3 prizes for this contest. More details to follow.
