Another closed end Churchill. Still playing around with making finials. The last one I did, I used an El Grande finial to get the threaded insert for the wooden finial. This time I started with a Churchill. Process was the same essentially, but the Churchill is a solid brass finial where the El Grande is brass encased in plastic. The wood is apple cut locally. The finish is CA/BLO. Thanks for looking.

Funny thing about this one is that the burned line by the posting end of the pen makes it kinda look like the thing is not a closed end pen. Kinda got things in reverse if you know what I mean.

I think you did a good job on the cap and I like the wood finial. The shape of the cap and the shape of the pen body just don't work together. The black CB also seems to be out of place, probably because the black finial and posting end are missing.
