I missed the meeting today some family stuff came up and had to go down to Stafford. I made it to WC about 4:30 hoping to catch some of it, every thing was locked up. Hope it was a good meeting, what did I miss? When is the next one?

We missed you, Jack.
We were looking forward to your Drill Doctor demo, so when it came time
for you to do it, we just had a 20 minute moment of silence.

Hope everything is OK .. you must have just missed us by minutes.. we
went and stuffed ourselves with pizza.

Next meeting isn't quite a meeting in our normal sense. The Woodcraft
store is booked for November 7th, but they're having an event there
turning pens for the troops. We're going to help out, rather than have
our usual meeting.

They are starting at 10AM, some will get there at 9AM.
THAT IS A SATURDAY

There will be people (Boy Scouts, mostly?) making pens from prepped kits
and some of them will never have seen a lathe before. Some supervision
will be needed, and we offered our services to help out. Delta will be
supplying lathes, from what I understand.

They expect a very large turnout, and we're not sure if we'll be a help or
a hindrance but we're going to give it our best.

And Neil promised that if we reached 1000 pens for the troops, he'd come
to the meeting in a grass skirt and coconuts.

Ok am still in favor of paying neil not to show up in a grass skirt and am wondering if the delta rep will miss any of thoes new midi lathes:biggrin:

Wonder if they will have a a 46-460 on hand. I wouldnt mind giving one a try.
Im also all for keeping Neil out of the grass skirt and charlie out of the dresses.

Tell them at WC we could sure use a store up here in northern/central Maine. Don't imagine in this economy they have any expansion plans, but I can dream.
