Jim Byrnes is well known in the model ship building circles, his equipment is very precise. Perhaps when I retire I'll get back into building ships again. Here's the last one I did (a few years ago):

Looks to be in the top goup with MicroMark and Proxxon saws - and a similar price. If I were to add another power saw to the collection, that is the style I would go for.

It's been a while since I've built a ship. Except mine go into bottles.
People ask how I do it. Well, it takes a lot of alcohol to make you blurry-eyed enough to focus through a glass bottle for that amount of time!

On subject, a 4" saw with the power for 15/16" hardwood, wow. And at the same price as my 10" Craftsman Pro jobsite saw.
