Is there a place to buy mini roller ball refills beside CSUSA. I bought some Chicago roller ball pens and did not realize and did not know there was such a refill. One of them has leaked in the bag ALREADY!

To avoid using the mini refill, extend the length of the lower barrel (e.i., use a piece of a second tube) to accommodate a normal size rollerball refill.

Regarding your question, I haven't come across another supplier of the mini refill.

That sounds like a descent idea accept the tube is there for strength .

I have extended the lower barrel using black ash burl and BOW on the JR Gent II before and I haven't experienced any issues with the lower tube breaking due to a weak point between the joints of the two tubes. I have placed the joint closer to the finale vs. the nib. However, it could depend on the type material being used (e.g., wood, arcrylic, etc.). It would also depend on how much meat is left on the tube after turning it to the finished size for the particular pen kit being made (e.g., the Churchill is a pretty thin walled pen and I don't think it would work successfull on this kit).
