This is a proof of concept piece for a run of pens for the Canadian Pens for Peacekeepers program.
The Sugar Maple once belonged to the Canadian Army and was used to floor their trucks during WWII. I was lucky enough to procure a skid of 3 foot long cutoffs about 20 years ago. The history should be appreciated by our soldiers.
The barrels are Sugar Maple, finial is African Blackwood and the finish is CA.
Once again thanks Jeff and John. Thanks for looking and comments are welcome.
