Midwest Penturners Gathering – March 2023 Newsletter
The Largest and Longest Running Pen Making Gathering

We are getting closer – we only have about 30 days to the Largest and Longest running pen making gathering – the Midwest Penturners Gathering. And we have some exciting news.

Check out all the details on the website - great demos, meet great people, learn a ton and have some fun...
The schedule and demos are all on the site. Check it out.

If you have not signed up yet:

• You have until April 1 to get the reduced rate of $49 (Goes up to $59 on 4/1)
• Tee shirt, food, mug sales end on April 1
• The hotel MPG rate is only to March 30
• And most importantly – if you sign up in March you get an extra ticket for the Jet Lathe

Things to remember:

• At the MPG we collect "Pens For Troops" – over 300 in the last 2 show. Bring a pen for our troops
• The contests – big prizes – bragging rights – see the website for details
• Rookie (less than a year)
• Still arbitration eligible (1 – 5 years)
• Can't go back to the minors (over 5 years)

• "You Be The Demonstrator
• Bring your best tip of trick
• "Demo" it Friday night for 2 minutes – take some questions

You get a ticket to a random drawing for big prizes

Unfortunately I just got tagged for a last minute trip oversees for about 30 days so had to cancel. Hope it is a great success. I was looking forward to my first gathering. Maybe next year.

Are any of the symposiums going to be streamed virtually and if so what's the fee?

Are any of the symposiums going to be streamed virtually and if so what's the fee?

The last two years we have did a virtual event in the fall - but no plans for another one.The MPG is a live and in person event and we are planning on keeping that way. Great opportunity to socialize with 300 other pen makers.
