Metal Spinning

In my last order from psi the was a flyer, on metal spinning on mini wood lathe. Has anyone done this , looks like it could be fun .

David, here is a link to a thread that has some discussion on it. I agree that it looks like it could be fun. I have it on my list of thing to try. Unfortunately it's so far down I may not ever get to it.

:star::star: David; If you are thinking of using a mini lathe to do metal "spinning" (not turning) your projects will have to be relatively small. It takes a well anchored lathe and extreem leverage to spin metal unless it is very thin or soft. I would check videos on you-tube to see how the process is done before investing. A mini lathe is limited by the size of the piece you can spin, and that's always larger then your finished project. Just my thoughts. Jim S
