I've been building Mesa's lately. On several of them the transmission is slippery and/or "gritty". Is there a fix I can do or do I need to take them back for replacement.

They turn pretty good out of the pen body but when assembled, they suck and are unsellable.

Thanks, ivel

Ivel, I recently had a similar problem with a PSI sculpted kit that when put together could hardly be turned to get the refill down. I'm not sure if this is the proper way to do it but I soaked the transmission in Acetone for about 15 minutes, let it dry and then sprayed just a bit of WD40 in the transmission. I let the WD40 penetrate and then wiped off any excess from the transmission and reinstalled the transmission and it worked fine. Hope this help-Tom
