Mercury flex and GluBoost

I am finding that Gluboost thin is a little thicker than Mercury thin. I want something that is more likely to soak into the wood on the first coat. Do you see a problem if I use Mercury thin for the first coat then use GluBoost for the rest?

I used mercury flex to glue a piece of wood back on that had broken off just as i was about to final size. Filled the missing fragnent areas with saw dust and used the mecury flex. Then finished with Glu boost, probably a day or 2 later, no problems.
