Mechanical Pencil?

Has anyone ever come across a pencil kit the is larger than a 0.5mm? I am looking for a 0.7 or a 0.9 kit.

I think PSI and Woodturningz has some. Not sure which would be the 0.7 though. You should be able to find out by looking at the catalog or the website.

Look in the library for Pentel, there are a number of posts about making them and the numbers of the Pentel pencils that you can purchase to make the kits.

Any parker style pen can be converted into a pencil by using a Schmidt pencil mechanism. Available in both 0.5mm and 0.7mm sizes. I know AS and BTW sell these mechs. For something larger, the PSI power pencil is 2mm and CSU sketch pencil is 5.6mm.

--- in woodturners the Jr. Gentleman and the "father sing" both use 0.7 mm lead

I use the 7mm Pentel. It also comes in a 9mm size.
