I am in a very frustrating situation and NO ONE seems willing to help. Maybe someone here has an idea about what I need to do. I understand there are different laws in different states but I am open to all advice.
Since we closed our repair shop I am cleaning up and there is an issue I have been avoiding because I have no clue where to begin. We used to use waste oil for heat but no longer heat the shop. I gave the known clean oil to our neighbors so there was 11 barrels gone. Now I am stuck with the dirty oil/sludge/water mixed stuff and have no idea what to do.
I have called several places here in town asking what to do or who to call and no one really seems to know anything except it will cost to have it taken away and they burn all their stuff for heat. Or they say they will get back to me with a number and never do even when I call them back and ask.
Super frustrating and I am tired of banging my head against the wall. I can put the oil heater back together and just run it if I can figure out how to separate the water from the oil. No idea what to do with the sludge though. Any and all advice will be helpful.
