Please join me in wishing our good friend Mark Ligget a wonderful birthday.
He has it on one of the most important days in Scottish history!!!!!:biggrin:
Burns Night

This is the special day of the year that all the barmy Scots chase the haggis's all over the place before getting smashed by a few too many wee drams!!!!:biggrin:

Hope you are having a great day Mark!!!:cake:

After Haggis you need to get smashed. What a horrid dish. Damn near as bad as a Navajo dish made out of sheep intestine and sheep fat.

There's a special day for that? I assumed it was a normal past time, repeated frequently! (And I can claim some Scots' blood and an affection for a few too many wee drams as well!)

Have a great day Mark!

I like haggis, I wish I could find some that was decent around here, I normally have to go to Jersey just to get some.
Happy Birthday Mark.

Thanks to everyone, had a good day today, no drinking though as I am on morphine tablets :hypnotized:

Cheers Steve (Skiprat) for reminding everyone I am a year older... lol

.......I like haggis, .......

Those three words explain so much about you!!!!:tongue:

I've only had it a few times, but must confess it wasn't bad at all.
I guess it's just the 'mental thing'
Warm haggis spread on some wheat crackers, it's a meal in itself. I may have to take a roadtrip and go get some, I'm getting in the mood for it. Maybe I should just go get some dinner now before I have to get to class.

Happy Birthday Mark...

Isn't Haggis similar to Boudin... I know that the Cajuns use pork, or shrimp, sometimes blood in lieu of the sheep heart, and they use rice instead of the oatmeal... good Boudin is tasty especially with red beans and rice... never had Haggis.

Oh ye has missed it for sure. Haggis is wonderful especially with a wee dram. Of course, here in the Southern area, we are doomed to only enjoy Boudin which is not all that bad.
Happy B-day Mark. Hope you had a great one, too bad about the tablets.

I am so humbled by all the birthday wishes, you guys are fantastic, love the humor too!
Haggis is lovely, however, if you were to list every ingredient in the mixture even my dog would not go near it!!! lol

Hope you had a good one, Mark!

Inadvertently, YOU were the one who got me into making pens! I came to this forum initially to buy a pendant backer plate a couple years ago, and stumbled across one of your wooden pens with a superb CA finish, and said to myself, "I want to make pens like that!"

Also, had the pleasure of going to Scotland for my honeymoon -- drove around the whole country, from Edinburgh -> Stirling -> Inverness -> Fort William -> Skye -> Mull -> Glasgow -> Loch Lomond. Loved it all, enjoyed sampling the haggis at different locales, and also became quite fond of black pudding.
