Maple Pepper Mill

I turned this 12" pepper mill from a piece of maple I had laying around


and it came with a bonus spalt/stain on one side


Now, if only I could take the pictures so they didn't look like they were leaning over

Perhaps a reference line?? The tabletop showing??? Something to establish a horizontal reference??
