The MAPG planning team just finished our first meeting for the 2014 event! It will be held again at the Richmond Woodcraft Friday May 2 - Saturday May 3. Similar format to last year with some improvements. Stay tuned as we arrange for demos and vendors, but lock in the date.

For the newbies, MAPG stand for Mid-Atlantic Penturners Gathering, though based on last year, poeple came from near and far. It's an evening and full day filled with all things about pen making. Visit our website at Mid-Atlantic Penturners Gathering for a view of MAPG 2013.

Yeah!!! It was great seeing everyone again today and we look forward to another exciting event for 2014... Can't Wait!!!!

Wish I could be there !!:frown:

With luck, this will be the ideal opportunity to try out Brad and Jeff's video link chat room thingy!!!
Could be fun watching Brad blow himself up and also seeing all the blank faces as everyone tries to understand his weird accent...

' I say old chaps, without further ado.....arf arf'

( Sorry Brad !! )

We should probably hire an interpreter for Brad when he gets here. Someone familiar with the local dialect and the Queens Engllish.

Unless the store has moved it is at:

Woodcraft of Richmond
9862 West Broad Street
Glen Allen, VA 23060
At least that is what i understand and where we were last year. Ive made my motel reservation with that in mind.

Thanks Charley, you are correct, it is in the same location. We had taken the old information down in case we decided to move, but have since determined to keep it in the same location. I will definitely be sure to include that information once we have all the demo and vendor schedules confirmed.

You should have taken a geography lesson last time you were here. There is a part of the USA that is called the Mid Atlantic states. I can give you directions should you decide to come and will even buy you a pint of whatever that stuff you drink is. If you can find a nice little isle in the middle of the big ocean with electricity and a hazardous waste site for Brad, I'm all ears. Then we'll call it the Mid Atlantic Ocean Penturners Gathering.

Ya know, if the organisers of this little shindig, which they unashamedly call 'Mid Atlantic Penturners Gathering  actually had it on a little island in the middle of the Atlantic, then they'd get a lot more attendees.

Bruce, the perfect spot would be Ascension Island. I'm sure they have facilities to handle even Brad's crap.
Of course the Bahama's or Barbados would suit me too....

I really wish I could come over....it'll be my birthday on that Saturday too:laugh:

The're a restaurant in the middle of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel that's not too far from Richmond. It's connected to the Atlantic... Should be able to do a Mid-Pacific too. There' must be a bridge or something as Hawaii has an INTERstate! ( Interstates in Hawaii: ARE WE CRAZY??? - Ask the Rambler - General Highway History - Highway History - Federal Highway Administration )

Might try to get up there. Tammy and I could go visit some friends at the same time.
